Today, I had a play date with Obed. At 9:31 AM, Obed and I played on his console. It was a Nintendo 64 1996 console. When we first plugged it into the TV, we had to use a AV cord. I was surprised that it worked but the graphics were not as good as I expected it on a 4k TV. We played Super Mario 64 and then we ate some pizza. The console could allow up to 4 people playing at the same time, but we only had one controller so we took turns. We then went upstairs. When Obed first got here, I showed him my smart lights and we played Roblox. So when after playing with the console, I showed him my big projector. It was so big that I needed help but I just carried it on my own because Obed was busy with the wires. Obed saw a composite port and said this, “Hey Khoi! let’s plug the console into the projector!”. I said OK and I plugged it in, amazingly, it worked! We pretended that it was a movie theater . But when I tried plugging it into my dads computer. It didn’t work. I’m Getting a Hue Dimmer Switch!
Today, I am going to get a Hue Dimmer Switch! Now this switch is a smart switch, when I press a button on it, it will turn the light on or off and it can also set the brightness. I can also even turn on all the lights in our house! It can work without a Hue bridge and connect up to 10 bulbs or you can connect it to a bridge and then control unlimited bulbs. I used to have a dimmer switch but it broke. So when I get the dimmer switch from home depot, I will put it into the office because the office has ambient light and this switch can change scenes of color. But if home depot doesn’t have it, we will just buy the dimmer switch that comes with a bulb but that’s $44 so we won’t. So if it doesn’t have it, we will just buy another bulb I guess. But if that doesn’t happen my dad can buy a color bulb for the living room. It cost $47 dollars each so we will buy one by one as we get up to four. We might also buy just a white bulb for the backyard because I want the backyard to be bright at night so we can see our way. I should also get a bollard light for the driveway. My Smart Light Plan
Today, I will talk about my smart light plan. So right now I really want the Philips Hue Bloom or Iris. The reason I want this is because I want to put it in the living room and add some color to it but the Bloom or Iris is around $59 dollars. At that rate, my parents won’t let me buy it so I will just buy a Hue White bulb for the kitchen. I also want to buy another Hue Ambience so I can put it in the Master bedroom. I also have 2 Hue Whites in my room and I don’t really need some expensive ambience lights in my fan lights. I also think of putting 4 Hue Color lights in the living rooms E26 light fixtures. It would also bring out the color. I might buy 3 more color lights to put it into a E26 fixture above the dinning table and then a Hue White to put in the back yard light fixture. For my birthday, I want a Hue Lilly Spot 3 pack for $339 dollars but my mom won’t let me because that’s too expensive. I am thinking I’m too greedy now because I want so many light bulbs. Maybe I might even put a driveway light. It looks like a solar powered light but it is a Hue version and can change colors and it is called a Hue Bollard. But it costs $100 dollars per unit. My Smart Lights
Today, I will talk about my smart lights. Now when I was young, I had Hue Lights. My dad bought us a starter kit and some other light bulbs. We installed it and I played with it. After some days, we went to buy the lights for the office. It was a Hue Ambience and it can change to warm and cool shades of whites but no colors, the other lights were just white lights and were dimable. After a few days, a light blew out in the office and it was a Hue Ambience. So today we are going to buy a new one. I stopped using Hue after a while because Hue wasn’t very good. But Lifx was too expensive so I went back to Hue because it was cheaper. I also didn’t really need color lights so it was fine with me. I also think that my unused Lifx bulb can be used to decorate our house on Halloween. I also think later on I might buy another light bulb so I can put it into the kitchen. Right now I have a portable light fixture in the kitchen with a Hue White light in it. I can control all the lights from any device and anywhere, even from Italy I think. Our Faulty Router
Today, we decided that we are going to get a new router. Now we are going to do this because our current router keeps on powering off after a few minutes. It also has a bad WiFi band because some of the antennas broke. But I like this router because it has a lot of features like time control, blocking websites, blocking user’s to the internet and more. But we will get a new router because this one is faulty now and we bought it in 2018 and it broke in 2019. So I guess we will throw it away after 1 year of using it. My dad said we will go to Best Buy to buy it so we can have the internet right away, but we might not need to buy a router but we can buy a switch and we will have internet but it won’t be wireless and we will not have security. So we will buy a new router and then I can finally put my cameras outside but I might not. So once we buy the new router, I will have to set it up again and then I will just throw the old router into the trash can with its plug too or I will dissemble it to learn about how it works! My Friends and the Big Writing Test
Today, I will talk about me and my friends. So 2 weeks earlier, my friend Obed moved to Jacksonville, FL. He did that because his dad would get a better job there, so I am left back with my friend Zachery. Usually, when all of us come home from school, we would go on my website in the afternoon and start chatting. Yesterday, we were chatting about code and stuff until Obed went idle so long that the computer kicked him off and marked him as idle. Zachery and me were chatting about my website code and how to improve it. One hour later, I and Zachery went offline and Obed came back on but we weren’t there. The next day we took a big writing test for the whole morning. At noon in school, we finished the test, I was the special student’s who got extra time so I used 40 minutes of my extra time. After that I played board games in Mrs. Ferry’s class room and I also put together a puzzle. After that we lined up to go home. What I think about Nam and My Cousins
Today I am going to talk about what I think about Nam. So I think Nam is a teenager that loves games. I know this because Nam plays Super Smash Bro’s a lot. I also think that he is a bit negative too but he is getting more positive every day. He also makes games on Roblox and it is very cool. He also makes games for Roblox and the best game he made was Obby Zones. So I think Nam is a normal teenager. Now I will talk about Thuclam now. She is nice and is active. She is smart and kind too, she plays a lot with Y Vien and plays fairly. Overall, she is very positive. Now let’s talk about Thucquyen. She is silly and fun, she plays with us in a silly way and I like that. We also play Potato Prison and she likes it a lot. She is also very positive and playful. I also like how she plays with us and she thinks Y Vien is cute and loves her. I also like it when I get to meet her, but she doesn’t seem to be happy when she meets me and I don’t know why.
