A few days ago I went to Target with my dad and saw a gingerbread house kit. I’ve seen many people build gingerbread houses so I thought I could do it because I thought it was easy-_-
After I finally convinced my dad to get it for me I brought it home. It kind of just sat in my kitchen corner ’til Sunday, when I had “time” for it. (I just was lazy since I had a science project bruh). As soon as I took the gingerbread and candies out I knew it would take at least an hour to build it. I tried to build the walls but it wouldn’t stick no matter how long I let it dry. I just kept adding tons of frosting to stick it together. Eventually I got it to stick but one of the walls ended up falling at the end after I finished decorating so there wasn’t a wall on one side but whatever. Soon I got started on the roof. It was way easier since at that time the walls finally was sticking together. I added a chimney after being indecisive about which way it should go.
So after like an hour and a half, I started decorating. I first put gumdrops on the top where the 2 halves of the roof met. Then I wanted to make a wreath so I made one out of a mini hard candy tree and a small red ball. After I placed a few gumdrops next to each other so it was like a bush. I also put little candy festive lights on the roof which was real cute. Finally I put gummy trees on the sides.
So it was very frustrating and annoying but it ended up looking super pretty so I guess it was worth it.
